At the end of the book, Greasy Sae is one of the few hundred people to return to District 12 following the war. But not only does Katniss survive the Hunger Games twice , but she helps her friends along the way, including Rue, Wiress, Mags, and Peeta. During the game, Mags sacrificed herself to a poisonous fog so she would not slow down Katniss, Peeta, and Finnick. He was one of the career tributes, and Katniss' third kill.
While this may be a tremendous help for those hailing from districts rich in Hunger Games championship, it is more or less useless to those originating in areas with a mediocre track record in the games. He is actually the judge who falls into the punch bowl when Katniss shoots an apple during her scoring in the first book, but Katniss does not formally meet him until the Victory Tour celebration in the second book. He seems to idolize Katniss with how he tries to come close to see her. After the 62nd Games, Enobaria shaved her teeth into points and inlaid them with gold fillings. When Rue is dying, Katniss actually refers to her as Prim in her thoughts, before correcting herself.
Towards the end of the book, his relationship with Katniss deteriorates because he feels responsible for the death of Prim, Katniss's sister caused by a bomb he had constructed. After seeing Brutus kill Chaff, Peeta kills Brutus, making Brutus the only person who Peeta has ever killed and the final tribute to ever be killed in the Hunger Games. Mellark dies in the District 12 bombings.
She was a career tribute specializing in the use of knives and the victor of the 64th Hunger Games. The victory of Katniss and Peeta is a win not just for District 12 but the others too. Finnick saved Peeta's life multiple times, knowing what Peeta meant to Katniss, and wanting her as an ally. The jacket had a reflective tape of orange material around the hem. Katniss spends the night under a bush. He is killed in the bloodbath.
Later, Fulvia suggests for a propo about the fallen tributes with Finnick narrating; this time, her idea is green-lit. Of course, she can also communicate to the birds through song.
