Marlin first appears in the flashback during the events of the first film worried that he lost his son after a boat which is 's boat from Finding Nemo zips above Dory's head. Though he dreams of one day breaking out and returning to the ocean, his failed escape attempts have broken his spirit. After Fluke introduces their friend to Marlin and Nemo, she begins to peck at Marlin; Fluke tells the loon to bring Marlin and Nemo to Quarantine and Marlin is suggested to imprint by looking her in the eye and do a loon call. Bruce throws the torpedo away and Anchor and Chum are able to regain his attention in time before the torpedo sets off one of the mines, causing a violent chain reaction of explosions from the others. When they come to a rocky trench, Marlin resolves to swim over it to avoid the ominous enclosure.
When the dentist sees this, he opts to clean the tank the following morning before Darla's arrival. Vowing to protect it, he names the codling Nemo. The other fish cringe and call her a fish killer 'she wouldn't stop shaking the bag'. As they succeed, they find a drain entrance. During his journey, Marlin was on the verge of losing Nemo, the only family he had left, and was rushing as fast as he could to save Nemo. He once had a mate, named , who died in a attack, along with almost all of his children.
Fortunately for Dory, she speaks whale, so while she and Marlin were stuck in it mouth, she was able to ask it to take them to Sydney. Despite being born with a withered fin, Nemo yearns for adventure, and as fate takes him far from home, he learns he is capable of doing great things. Marlin takes advantage of her short attention-span, but he later regrets it when it physically hurts her. He was voiced by Barry Humphries in the first film. Marlin swims as fast as he can, while Spike secretly sends his boss Fang a message through phytoplankton, promising Marlin as food.
Hank drives the truck, with Dory giving him directions. Apparently, the demand for tropical fish skyrocketed after the film's release. He was also voiced by Alexander Gould in the first movie. However, the filmmakers could not find an appropriate scene for them that didn't slow the pace of the picture down, so Gerald's character was minimized. But, neither Crush nor Dory knows for sure that things are always gonna be a-okay. In North America, it was surpassed by Shrek 2 in 2004, and by Toy Story 3 in 2010. He was voiced by Stephen Root in the first film.
DreamWorks and Disney's feud has gone as far back in 1998, the time where and Antz were released. They were going to play against each other as Nigel being neat fastidious while Gerald being scruffy and sloppy. Yep, definitely the worst day of his life. Nemo waits in the fish tank with Gill who is keeping an eye on the dentist for an opportune moment to jam the filter. They did same with Finding Dory. And his actual journey would end in his death.
Nemo has fins and is ready to swim out on his own. Nemo agrees to do it. The unlikely challenge was how much to change its otherworldly beauty. The plan succeeds, and the heroes follow the ship until they arrive at the port of Wellington, New Zealand, where Marlin is ambushed by a piranha, whom he tries to fend off. The barracuda then corners Marlin, intending to attack him, but Marlin and Nemo decide to escape from Fang as he begins chasing them. He helps Nemo find Marlin.
Nemo emerges from the piping and calls out for his father. With Nemo's arrival to the tank, Gill is inspired again to find a way back to the sea. In North America, outside North America, and worldwide, it was the highest-grossing Disney·Pixar film, up until 2010 when surpassed it. All three are members of a Fish-Eaters Anonymous Group, and are tormented by their natural urge to eat fish and their resulting unpopularity amongst the general ocean population. Soon after the otters are shooed away by a truck driver and the traffic begins to move, Marlin suddenly calls for Becky's attention to rescue the two clownfish as Becky suddenly appears perching on Hank's head. They dare each other to swim out into open water to touch the butt as Marlin arrives and yells at Nemo for endangering himself. Whilst swimming through the pipes, Marlin finally tells her that he is truly thankful for Dory and everything she's done.
Dory is the aquatic Good Samaritan who offers to help Marlin on his journey to find his son. Having led a sheltered life, Nemo brims with the excitement of starting school and finally seeing the wonders of the Great Barrier Reef. Nearby, Nigel wakes from a nap to notice the pelican, Gerald, choking and flies down to assist. This tough, scarred, one-finned fish was raised in the ocean, but taken at a young age to live in a tank. As the two fish say farewell to Flipper, Marlin and Spike enter some pipes which would be a quick way to find the exhibit which could contain Coral. He lodges himself and Dory in the pelican's neck, causing it to start choking.
